The Raspberry Pi Zero is a scaled-down, cost-effective variant of the original Raspberry Pi. It's impressively compact, having dimensions of 65mm x 30mm, and is suitable for creating embedded systems, wearable tech, prototyping, and any other projects requiring a small form factor. The Pi Zero Wireless is equipped with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity for instant access to networks and the Internet!
The Raspberry Pi Zero boasts a BCM2835 chipset, running at 1GHz with 512MB RAM and 1080p video output. It has a 40-pin GPIO layout like the Raspberry Pi 2/B/A and is pre-soldered with a male header. Furthermore, its diminutive size and fewer connectors lead to a meager ~140mA energy draw at 5V!
Unlike its larger brothers and sisters, the Raspberry Pi Zero has an unpopulated composite (RCA) header and an unpopulated reset header. There's also no DSI screen port, no ethernet, no analog audio, and no full-sized USB ports. Instead, the Pi Zero features a micro-USB power port, a micro-USB OTG host port (for peripherals e.g. WiFi dongle), and a mini HDMI port for video.
