Solar MPPT 5A Charge Controller
This MPPT solar charger provides you with the ability to get as much as possible power out of your solar panel or other photovoltaic device and into a rechargeable LiPo battery. Set-up is easy as well, just plug your solar panel into one side of the board and your battery into the other and you are good to start charging.
In general, it is necessary to use a switch-mode DC-DC converter to achieve the MPPT function, to keep the product of output voltage and charging current (output power) maximized. The MPPT controller contains an inverter that adjusts the V-A characteristics of the mapping source (solar panel, wind farm, etc.) to the level that is most suitable for charging the connected battery. This achieves the lowest losses and the best use of energy from the source. When using a 12V lead battery, a PV panel with an output of up to 60W can be connected. With an input voltage of up to 28V, this solar charger is suitable for applications where the input voltage difference is greater than the battery voltage.
