Peltier cooler overview

They consist primarily of semiconductor material sandwiched between ceramic plates and have no moving parts. Hot and cold on both sides with a temperature difference of 68 degrees.

NOTE: Must be used with suitable Heatsink to avoid damage to the Unit

Peltier cooler Features

This cooling piece is very simple to install and use. Before installation, connect to 12V DC power source, you will immediately feel what side of the unit is hot and what side is cold, also note the polarity of the power leads, The cold side must be on the unit you want to cool and the hot side on the heat sink side. This unit uses 92W power at 12V so your power supply must be able to handle at least 10A.

    I must say, there is a huge difference in temperature between the TEC1-12710 and the TEC1-12708.
    With a stock Peltier Cooling System Kit 12V, I get -12.0 ºC. Just to add a extra little bit of work to the unit, I used a Solid State Relay heat sink from Micro Robotics, item code SSR-HEAT on top of the stock cold side heat sink…..I got -8.5 ºC . I only changed the fan to a Coolermaster 4500 RPM , 27.06 CFM, 80mm x 80mm stock AMD CPU cooler fan, model is Cooler Master DK9-7G52A-0L-GP, connected with the W1209 Tempreture Controller. I am waiting for Kin to order bigger ones ;)……or 40mm x 40mm water blocks.
