This small breakout board couples a small microphone with a 100x opamp to amplify the sounds of voice, door knocks, etc loud enough to be picked up by a micro controllers Analog to Digital converter. Unit comes fully assembled as shown.

    Since the AO is not amplified, it’s pretty useless without external circuitry.

    You can trick the module into amplifying the microphone signal by simply adding a 100k feedback resistor between A0 and DO. D0 is now the applified microphone signal. Adjust the potentiometer until DO outputs 2.5v. Connect DO to your analog pin for reading. There is no filter on the module, so the signal is a bit noisy, but it’s usable.
