Summary of the ESP32 WiFi and Bluetooth Course
This course is a full day course where we build WiFi and Bluetooth projects using impressive and cheap ESP microcontrollers. Once you mastered the ESP32, you can build any Internet Of Things (IoT) fast, reliably and with ease.
You also learn a bit more about the chip itself including the protocols and onboard peripherals of the chip like the build in capacitive touch sensors and hall effect sensor. This microcontroller is fast, dual-core with lots of memory, so we call also create a web server with a web page to switch and monitor all kinds of appliances and equipment.
We then move to the workshop part where we all build a Bluetooth and a WiFi project controlling a relay and receiving values from a light-sensitive diode to demonstrate how to build IoT projects
This course builds up from the kick-start/essentials Arduino workshop. This course is not for beginners, and the basics of Arduino needs to be understood and practised already. As a minimum, you must understand all the components on an Arduino board, upload sketches, understand analog and digital ports, know how to work with a breadboard and know how to use Serial. All this was covered in the kick-start/essentials workshop.
What will you learn?
Basics of the ESP32 board
The ESP32 peripherals like the build in capacitive sensors and hall sensor.
Using the dual core cpu’s in the ESP32
Controlling and reading the ESP via Bluetooth
ESP32 WiFi setup
WIFi web server
Controlling and monitor equipment via WiFi.
Who should attend:
The Arduino advanced course is for ages 13 to 70+. You should have at least have attended our beginners course or used the basics of Arduino programming before. Please see the pre-requirements above, there is no time to revisit these topics and if you do not know them you will be lost within the first 5 minutes.
When & where is it:
Saturday 29 February 2020 In Pretoria Gauteng. The course will run from 9H00 – 16H30
Refreshments and lunch: Tea and coffee will be supplied during tea times. A light variety cold platter lunch will be supplied. We unfortunately can not cater for special dietary needs over the weekends, please bring your own lunch if you have special dietary needs.
Class room size
We train a maximum of 14 students. An assistant trainer is in all our classes to ensure each attendee get lots of personal attention when getting stuck.
We do accept attendees from 16 years and older. Younger attendees can be accommodated but must be accompanied by an adult. Children younger that 10 will find it difficult and will find little to no benefit in this course.
What will it cost and what must I bring along?
Cost is R890.00 per person plus the components you require. You can bring your own, or buy the parts from us that we will bring along for you on the day of the course. In the registration section below is a list of all components you will require.
How do I book?
Simply fill in the registration form below. You will receive a proforma invoice by email with banking details. Once we received your payment you are booked and your seat is guaranteed.
What to bring along?
